Employment

Do you like to work with both people and animals? We are hoping you do! We are looking for you! We are a 9 DVM veterinary practice in upstate NY near Syracuse. We are currently looking for an LVT to fill a unique schedule. Working 3 days a week couldn’t be better! (Mondays from 8a-8p, Wednesdays from 7p-7a Thursday, and Fridays from 8a-7p.) Mondays and Fridays responsibilities would be technician duties of drawing blood, caring for animals, assisting in exam rooms, client education, animal restraint and helping fellow technicians. Wednesday is an overnight shift. Duties include caring for inpatients, answering emergency phone calls and triaging them. Calling the DVM on call if needed. Other duties include assisting the DVM when emergencies arrive, and restocking and cleaning on down-time.

We rotate through holiday coverage and through some weekends when our weekend technician needs a day off. All of us work a Saturday shift on a rotating basis. You would be added to that rotation, too.

We offer great benefits like a great starting salary, 401k retirement, gain share, paid vacation, paid holidays, health insurance, continuing education stipend based on length of employment.

  • "The Village Vet Family has been wonderful to me ALL 38 years I've been with them. Always understanding, willing to teach me how to care for my ill pets. Always works with me in understanding the care & takes time to listen to me; even Nicki & Kerry Brown. They have a wonderful bunch working for them."
